I think sound of silence should be solemn and sorrowful, Disturbed version is too/too angry for my taste. Great singing though, just not my cup of tea. Just so ya know, so you can bristle a bit more, search the song title on Spotify and sort by "top". You'll find that Disturbed's is higher.
